Sensaround Concert

There’s something uniquely cinematic about live music in an intimate neighborhood pub—the dim lighting, crowded room, raw energy, and fleeting moments between songs. At Old Towne Pub in Pasadena, I photographed a live performance in an atmospheric setting where the band’s energy and the character of the venue came together naturally. Working with the available light, I focused on capturing expressive performances, dramatic stage moments, and the intimate ambiance of the room while preserving the authentic feel of the night

The band had a clear visual direction for the shoot, with a preference for dramatic images captured from a distance using longer focal lengths. I incorporated that approach throughout the performance and create a more cinematic sense of depth. Alongside the tighter performance portraits, I captured environmental images that convey the mood and personality of the venue. The result is a collection of images designed not only to document the performance, but to give the band compelling visual content they can use for their website, social media, promotional materials, and future performances.
